When is water damaged covered by insurance?

What do you do when you inspect my business for water damage?

Our water damage inspector will be dispatched as soon as possible and perform the following procedures:

• Evaluate damage
• Take moisture readings
• Give you an estimate for damages and if we believe your insurance will cover the damages

When we come back out to start the work on your property, we will:

• Remove any carpet, padding, flooring, and drywall as necessary
• Extract water from exposed areas
• Set necessary drying equipment
• Take moisture readings each day
• Take relative humidity readings each day

It's important to note that our drying equipment will heat up the area more than normal because it's working to dry the moisture as quickly as possible to avoid mold or mildew. We recommend moving any employees to other rooms or even having them work from home for a few days, if possible. You might see your electric bill go up slightly on your next bill due to the drying equipment running for long periods of time.
